Occasionally I meet a customer that does not see the value in an agent. Every year for decades 8-12% of buyers and sellers buy and sell real estate on their own. That means 88-92% of homeowners work with an agent to sell their home.

Many people want to save money and others want to be in control. Many owners feel that they don't need a listing agent (seller's agent) because the MLS does all the heavy lifting.

Even if another agent brings the buyer in there is a certain level of experience where we can get the buyer to pay the best price, eliminate any pitfalls, and ultimately close escrow. Also, if you don't sell homes all the time how do you know what to look for in the 10-12 page purchase offer? How do you get all the disclosures and make sure they are all done properly?
